12hr Varied Days/Nights one month at a time (schedule made 4 weeks out) EOW First to Float

Unit Notes

• need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
• Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 34 hours to completethis time is not billable to the hospital.
• For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered however not guaranteed**
• Profiles will go directly to the unit for consideration
• **UNIT NEEDs A NICU TRAINED RRT THAT HOLDS EXPERIENCE INTUBATING DURING DELIVERIES WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS**
• This role requires newborn intubation skills Department: RT
• # treatments per day: 30 treatments per 12 hour shift
• Charting System: Cerner.
• Types of patients (adults peds and neonates) Adult Patients
• Inpatient Emergency Room Floors ICU
• Experience or Must have skill: Basic Respiratory Assessment & treatment skills
• Job Duties: Aerosol therapy Secretion mobilization Lung expansion Endotracheal tube & tracheostomy management Noninvasive Ventilation Oxygen Modalities Mechanical ventilation No ABGs
• Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist Assist with Intubation only (No intubation directly).
• Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist Always a RT Shift Lead present each shift
• RT Leader on Call Present MF and available 24/7
• Shifts & Scheduling : Scheduling by needs Each shift consists of 715 RTs per shift. Contract worker would never be only RT present.

• Floating Requirements No floating
• Scrub Color/Dress: Black
• RT Equipment: Vents: Hamilton G5 C1 and NIV: Philips V60 & Nihon Khoden NKV330
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Intensivist onsite 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year
• Department Specific Orientation Orientation: Respiratory Therapy Dept onboarding consistes of three 12 hour shifts for (floors & ER).

Required Certifications:

• Certs: BLS ACLS PALS and CRT OR RRT acceptable
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
