We at Chefs Bay are recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for a location based in Crowborough. This role is a fixed term contract with an immediate start available for a period of up to 8 months to cover maternity leave.
Our client is a hospital that specialises in the diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of orthopaedic conditions.
The Hours:
37.5 hours per week any 5 days out of 7 8 hour days with shifts between 06:3018:30.
Pay: 18ph holiday pay 20.17ph
Essential: an Enhanced DBS is required for this role if you do not have one then you must be happy to obtain one
The Role:

- To ist the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in the daytoday running of the kitchen
- Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef s absence ensuring that the food is prepared and served to a highquality and standard
- isting with the menu planning and preparation
The Candidate:
- You will be a pionate and proactive individual with excellent communications ss to help build those allimportant and respected relationships with our patients and your colleagues.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a highvolume kitchen.
- Excellent cooking ss and a strong understanding of various cooking ods ingredients equipment and procedures.
- Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent experience.
- Level 2 food hygiene or higher.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
- Good IT ss.
- Proactive and forward thinking with a pion for continued learning.
