Job Description

As a Data Center Discovery and Migration Specialist you will:
  • Conduct onsite physical discovery of all hardware devices including servers storage units and network devices within the data center.
  • Perform physical installations decommissioning and cabling work as required.
  • Capture photographs of servers to doent both front and backend ports.
  • Mark and label cables accurately identifying devices and connections for inventory purposes.
  • Inspect and doent equipment specifications such as serial numbers hardware configurations and installed components.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure devices are functioning properly.
  • Report and escalate any hardware or connectivity issues found during discovery.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 68 years of experience in data center discovery and migration.
  • Proven experience in conducting onsite physical discovery of hardware devices.
  • Competence in cable marking labeling and device identification for inventory purposes.
  • Familiarity with inspecting and doenting hardware specifications.
  • Ability to escalate issues and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
You should possess the ability to:
  • Create and maintain accurate inventory of physical ets and their locations within the data center.
  • Ensure proper tagging and recording of hardware in et management systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT team for updates on hardware setups or new installations.
