Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS Python Bash CloudFormation andTerraform) for one of our clients in the SaaS space. This is a fulltime permanent position. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our cloud environment to meet the demands of our growing business.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Design build and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Architect and implement cloudnative solutions leveraging technologies such as serverless computing and microservices.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate application requirements into cloudbased infrastructure solutions.
Infrastructure Management and Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure costeffectiveness.
- Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to identify proactively and address potential issues.
- Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting and configuration management tools using Terraform.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.
- Implement security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and data from threats.
- Conduct regular security essments and vulnerability scans.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Test and validate disaster recovery procedures regularly.
Key Technologies:
- GIT/GitHub JIRA
- CloudFormation and/or Terraform
- EC2 CodePipeline Lambda ALB Redis Networking VPC AWS CLI IAM Route53 CloudWatch
- REST APIs JSON JavaScript GQL
- MSSQL Server Windows Server Linux
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS hard required).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of networking security and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleing ss.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
