Job Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Measurement and Data Science team. This role is located in our Hamburg (Germany) office and we value inperson collaboration and as such we are an officefirst team with some flexibility and occasional remote work when needed.
At Funnel we work in crossfunctional teams and put a strong emphasis on team collaboration. Together with your peers you develop and take responsibility for your specific part of the product. Learning is central to us and we use both qualitative and quantitative ods to evaluate features and discover opportunities.
Our tech stack consists of:
Python
Apache Spark (PySpark)
AWS (e.g. Redshift EMR ECS)
SQL
DBT
What you will do
You will join our data engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining the data pipelines required to make our products deliver value to our customers. You will work closely with our data scientists to provide the datasets they need and with our software development team to make the results available to the product interfaces.
Furthermore you will be responsible for everything from implementation deployment and monitoring and we expect you to follow engineering best practices.

You understand how things work together and you can figure out solutions when things get complicated. Furthermore you are good at solving problems and making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently using the proper data structures and algorithms. Likewise you approach tasks with pragmatism favoring incremental progress.
Furthermore you are comfortable in a pair programming environment where you openly share your knowledge and mistakes and ask for help.
Ss and Experience
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering.
Experience in Python and PySpark.
Deep understanding of SQL.
CI / CD experience.
Cloud infrastructure experience (we use AWS).
Handson experience in agile teams and ways of working.
Fluent in English.
