Position: Operations Field Supervisor
Client: Engineering Firm Specialized in Power Systems
Job Duties:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Field and Shop Technicians.
- Evaluate the technical performance of Field and Shop Technicians including safety work efficiency and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Coordinate and ist between Project Manager and other AEC departments.
- ist Job Leads with project responsibilities and provide jobrelated training.
- Develop and implement operations improvement procedures as needed.
- Review and evaluate test equipment; recommend future test equipment purchases.
- Manage and lead projects ensuring they are completed within scope on time and within budget.
- Respond to daily communications/emails from customers and AEC team members.
- Track and coordinate technical and safety training for Field and Shop Technicians.
- Mitigate technical and scheduling issues at job sites.
- Perform random field audits evaluating job progress quality of work and safety to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide timely feedback in a positive continuous learning environment.
- Facilitate Root Cause ysis for project deficiencies and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee technical and safety continuing education for Field and Shop Technicians.
- Manage daily Job Hazards essment (JHA) review content and take corrective action as needed.
- Lead by example in safety communication and procedures.
- Recommend candidates for the annual safety award.
- Ensure field compliance with NFPA 70E and Cal OSHA requirements.
- Collaborate with the AEC Operations team to provide feedback on QA/QC activities.
- ist with shutdown coordination.
- Review final job reports for accuracy and quality.

- Technical and Standards Competency:
- Experience with electrical testing on low and medium voltage equipment (e.g. substations switchgears circuit breakers instrument transformers protective relays automatic transfer switches motor control centers transformers grounding systems).
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code OSHA IEEE and NFPA standards.
- Familiarity with the latest International Electrical Testing ociation (NETA) ANSI Standards for acceptance maintenance and commissioning.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70B (Electrical Maintenance) and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace) standards.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent from a technical school.
- Five years of directly related work experience.
- Equivalent military technical experience considered.
- NETA or NICET Certification is a plus.
Required: - 15+ years of experience in information technology (GCP), with a focus on infrastructure and networking. - 10+ years of experience as an infrastructure architect, preferably in manufacturing environments. - Demonstrated expertise in interacting with business sectors at a strategic level (Directors, VPs, and senior management). - Ability to occasionally travel to the various offices of our client (Canada, US). - Permanent resident or Canadian Citizen - Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English. et: - Knowledge of enterprise architecture odologies
Education
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent from a technical school.
