As a Junior Operational yst you will:
- Undertake a range of ytical and datarelated tasks under the supervision of senior Operational ysis (OA) staff.
- Perform data and operational ysis supporting complex problemsolving using simple tools.
- Utilize OA techniques including wargaming modeling and whatif ysis.
- Translate military logic and doented rules from pseudocode into efficient Python code within a DevOps environment.
- Support data collection collation and ysis using tools such as Python Excel and others.
- ist in the development and updating of doentation and reports for the OA Centre.
- odically collect and present data from various sources in a clear and logical manner.
- Produce verified and validated datasets under time constraints using expertlevel MS Office tools.
- Summarize results for presentation in PowerBI Dashboards MS PowerPoint and Word doents.
- Conduct tasks onsite in The Hague and participate in occasional trips to Mons or Brussels to support OA staff.
What You Bring to the Table:
- At least 1 year of experience in conducting ytical studies and supporting decisionmakers using operational research/ysis tools and techniques (e.g. modeling simulation statistical ysis whatif ysis).
- At least 1 year of experience using Python to support data ysis.
- Strong proficiency in reviewing and yzing large data sets using tools like MS Excel and other data ysis platforms.
You should possess the ability to:
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing particularly in English with an emphasis on presenting complex results in an understandable way.
- Work accurately under time pressure ensuring data consistency and validation.
