Sanitation Supervisor Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the sanitation processes in the food production facility.
- Develop implement and maintain sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Train and supervise sanitation staff to uphold proper cleaning protocols and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require cleaning or maintenance.
- Coordinate with production and quality control teams to schedule sanitation activities that minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to support sanitation activities.
- Investigate and address any sanitationrelated issues or complaints promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities inspections and corrective actions taken.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science Microbiology or related field.
- Proven experience in sanitation management within a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g. FDA USDA) and HACCP principles.
- Strong leadership communication and problemsolving ss.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced production environment.
- Certification in food safety is a plus.
- Experience with implementing sanitation programs and conducting audits.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Prior experience managing a team of sanitation employees.
