We are seeking an experienced AP/CP certified Pathologist to join our client for los coverage in Michigan!
Key Responsibilities:
- Read approximately 3550 cases per day
- Gross and process your own specimens
- Cut frozen sections using Cryostat
- Handle a variety of cases including GI biopsies breast biopsies neuropathology and neurosurgical cases
- Perform hematology microbiology chemistry/serology and blood bank procedures
- Specialize in anatomic pathology procedures: Surgical GI GU Neuropathology Dermatopathology Hematopathology and Cytology
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
- Rotating call schedule: Alternate weeks starting Friday at 5 PM through the following Friday at 8 AM
- Oneday orientation with start as soon as credentialed
- Work alongside 1 fulltime pathologist
- Supported by a team of histotechnologists
Qualifications:
- AP/CP certified pathologist
- Experience preferred but not required
- Ability to gross own specimens and perform required procedures
- Case logs required

Credentialing typically takes 30 days
Approximately 35-50 cases read per day. Neurosurgical cases are the most frequent frozen section requests both during the daytime and after hours on call.
