Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of the OPTINUP program and initiatives within the state.
- Ensure alignment of program activities with state and national food processing objectives.
- Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Promote the adoption of advanced food processing technologies and operations excellence among the partner MSMEs.
- Provide technical support and guidance on the implementation of technology solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in food processing technology and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards within the food processing sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including MSMEs government agencies industry partners and other service providers.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to local businesses to improve their operational efficiency and product quality
- Collect and yze data on program performance market trends and industry needs.
- Identify and mitigate risks ociated with food processing activities within the state.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Food Science Food Technology Agricultural Engineering or a related field
- Advanced degree (MSc Food Science MSc. Food Technology MBA MSc. Project Management etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in food processing food technology or a related field preferably within the agriculture or food nutrition sector in Nigeria.
- Proven track record of successfully managing food systems and nutrition programs or projects.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent project management organizational communication and interpersonal ss.
- Proficiency in data collection and ysis.
- Strong leadership and decisionmaking abilities.
