Job description
- Required a dedicated resource for longterm engagement with experience in Linux Chef and scripting
- Sr Red Hat Engineer with 58 years of Handson experience designing managing administrating Red Hat Linux 6 7 8 9 platforms in physical and virtual environments in Private and Public Clouds AWSAzure
- Scripting Automation background S Perl etc
- Experience with Automation configuration management tools Chef preferred Ansible
- Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment CICD odology using tools such as Jenkins
- Source control Version Control experience GIT
- RHEL certification and other industry certifications will be preferred
- Configuring designing doenting and implementing Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL 6 7 8 9 instances bare metal and virtualized Private and Public Clouds taking into account the following
- Kernel parameters
- IDs and user groups
- Access ods
- Boot process
- File systems and mount points
- Storage
- Swap space
- Update processes
- Gold disk build and standards
- Disk type and layout
- Disk redundancy and zoning
- File systems
- Swap space
- SAN boot
- Security requirements
- Required drivers list
- Required packages list
- Build and test scripts process required in Bash Perl
- Requirements for grub2 against legacy grub
- NTP configuration and daemons
- Required environment relative to SAP and Oracle needs
- Infrastructure design
- Required network and VLANs
- Power sources for redundancy
- Firewall rules
- Provisioning
- Testing of RHEL 78 systems
