Job Description
Manage and Administer physical and virtual servers primarily RHEL67 Cent OS and Ubuntu server
2 Experience with Linux servers in NUTANIX virtualized environments as well as Physical servers like Dell Cisco etc
3 Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
4 Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
5 Engineering of systems administrationrelated solutions for various project and operational needs
6 Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
7 Fault finding analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
8 Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
9 Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades patches hot fixes on servers workstations and network hardware
10 Familiarity with SAN management and concepts
11 Redhat cluster preferred if not it can be any other clusters experience
12 Strong knowledge of Internet Protocol Suite and layers
13 Advanced experience with DNS LDAP NTP SMTP SNMP SSH
14 Experience with LVM RAID
15 Support and plan system backups and data recovery strategies
16 Oncall rotation for afterhours support and scheduled maintenance
17 Strong problem solving and communication skills
18 Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise
19 Should be familiar with ITIL processes and change management problem management
20 Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis upgrade administrative tools and utilities
21 Configureadd new services as necessary
22 Maintain operational configurations and procedures
Key skills required for the job are
Linux Admin L2L3 Mandatory
Nutanix Admin AHV L1L2 Preferred
RHCE Certified
ITIL Foundation certified preferred
Tomcat Clustering and JVM related troubleshooting
OS Clustering
Middleware Application Management experience
Solarwinds Icinga and Nagios tool knowledge
