Job Summary: As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst you will support the credit risk management team by analyzing credit data assessing financial statements and monitoring credit risk metrics. You will assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of clients and providing insights to help mitigate risk and ensure sound credit decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk models and strategies.
- Monitor and report on credit risk metrics and portfolio performance.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other departments to assess and manage credit risk.
- Assist in maintaining and updating credit risk policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate potential credit risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Stay informed about industry trends regulations and market conditions that may impact credit risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in credit risk analysis finance or a related area (internships or relevant coursework may be considered).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with credit risk management software or tools.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of credit risk modeling and statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools or financial analysis software.
- Certification or coursework related to credit risk management (e.g. FRM CFA).
