This position involves supporting installations repairs and maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role requires working in a preproduction environment with training provided in Austin TX or Hillsboro OR.
Position:- Fulltime compressed work week with shifts:
- 7:00 am 7:30 pm (10% differential for day shift)
- 7:00 pm 7:30 am (15% differential for night shift)
- Work location: Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Hillsboro OR
- Maintain and repair semiconductor manufacturing equipment according to factory standards.
- Instruct customers in system operation and maintenance.
- Serve as a liaison between company and customer for projects like installations and repairs.
- Provide technical support to customers and respond to queries about system malfunctions.
- Document and report maintenance activities and equipment performance issues.
- Conduct customer training sessions.
- Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (technical/military training).
- Minimum 3 years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Handson experience with mechanical and electrical equipment and proficiency with electronic testing tools.
- Knowledge of Linux OS for troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently or in teams troubleshoot issues and maintain strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment with protective gear.
- Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
- Pay differential for night and day shifts.
- Compensation to be discussed (not mentioned explicitly).
- Fulltime presence required at assigned locations.
- Position involves standing walking lifting up to 30 lbs and working in cleanroom settings.
- Requires compliance with customer policies including COVID19 safety protocols.
- Handson experience with complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including night shifts.
- Customer support experience is a plus.
