Company Overview:
Confident Staff Solutions is a leading staffing agency that provides temporary and permanent placement services for healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a temporary contract at a home health company in Pittsfield MA.
Position Overview:
As an SLP with our home health company you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes. You will work closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans to help improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This is a temporary contract position with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial evaluations and assessments to determine patients speech and language needs
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients goals and needs
Provide therapy services to patients in their homes including but not limited to speech articulation language comprehension and expression voice and fluency disorders and swallowing difficulties
Monitor and document patients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue progress outside of therapy sessions
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation
Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of services
Qualifications:
Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program
Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP in MA
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health setting preferred
Experience working with adult and geriatric populations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients homes
CPR certification preferred
