Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated DBA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 34 years of experience in Database management with strong DB practices and possess good knowledge of coding languages like Java databases like PostgreSQL and various DBA tools and technologies. This role will involve working closely with crossfunctional teams to optimize queries maintaining databases automating processes managing access controls performing regular database audits improving efficiency and ensuring the reliability scalability and security of our systems. This role requires a proactive approach to database performance security and documentation.
As a DBA Engineer you will collaborate with other members of the team to design develop
deploy migrate and/or maintain database applications to meet the needs of the users. Additionally you
will evaluate and enhance DBMS reliability performance and stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to dig deep into database metrics to identify causes of performance issues and implement effective solutions.
What will you do:
Manage maintain and monitor all aspects of our database systems (includes problem investigation and resolution backup creation and maintenance database optimization and tuning etc.)
Ensure high levels of performance availability security and encryption.
Enhance and automate reports
Automate routine database maintenance tasks such as backups index management and performance tuning.
Analyses and maintains performance and capacity needs. Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure database health
Always be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring spot issues and give the customer more for their investment
Develops manages and tests database and information system backup and recovery plans
Migration of data between relational databases
Track database changes incidents and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
Implement and manage user access controls ensuring data security and compliance with company policies.
Regularly review access privileges and perform database security audits
Create database patch using complex queries
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations processes and troubleshooting guides.
Develop and enforce database best practices and standards.
Establish best practices for a growing team of SQL Developers/Analyst
Use data modeling approaches to make sure that integration and performance goals are fulfilled and to provide future flexibility to accommodate shifting business requirements
Requirements
Apply if you have:
Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
Experience with core concepts of SQL with ability to write efficient and optimized queries
Handson experience with database management tools and automation scripts.
Experience in database security auditing and access management.
Familiarity with cloudbased database solutions (e.g. AWS)
Understanding of database/scripting languages
Experience of Backup and recovery process
Experience in managing database development/integration/migration projects.
Experience with performance tuning of complex SQL queries
Experience in identifying areas where data can be used to improve organizational activities
proposing and implementing innovative data solutions.
Good verbal and written communication skills along with excellent organizational skills and
attention to details
Good understanding of MSOffice suite or related software
Worked across both Qualitative and Quantitative analysis areas
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to dig deep into server metrics to identify root causes of performance issues.

Promoter Profile
