Job Description: New Relic & Dynatrace APM SME
Location: Remote
Position Overview: The APM SME will be responsible for the implementation configuration and optimization of New Relic and Dynatrace monitoring solutions to ensure the availability performance and reliability of our applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in New Relic and Dynatrace a solid understanding of application performance management (APM) and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- APM Implementation & Configuration:
- Lead the deployment and configuration of monitoring solutions across various environments (development staging production).
- Implement and maintain New Relic.
- Customize APM and transactional dashboards reports and alerts to meet business needs and enhance visibility into application performance.
- Strong experience in implementing Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Synthetic monitors.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor application performance metrics identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Analyze data to detect anomalies diagnose issues and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for APMrelated issues and provide expert guidance on troubleshooting and resolution.
- Collaborate with development operations and support teams to address performance issues and ensure seamless integration of Dynatrace with other tools and systems.
- Best Practices & Documentation:
- Establish and promote best practices for application performance monitoring and management using New Relic and Dynatrace.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for APM configurations processes and procedures.
- Strong understanding and maintenance of Licenses utilization and other key metrics.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on functionalities and best practices.
- Stay current with Dynatrace updates new features and industry trends and share insights with the team.
Skills & Competencies:- 9 Year of experience in New Relic and Dynatrace including monitoring alerting and reporting.
- Strong expertise in New Relic and Dynatrace including monitoring alerting and reporting.
- Strong expertise in configuring Synthetic Monitors and Site reliability key metrics.
- Migration from Dynatrace to New Relic is a plus
- Solid understanding of application architectures RUM monitoring databases and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. PowerShell Python).
- Expertise in maintaining product licenses.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to analyze complex performance data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
