Position: Service/Test Technician
Location: Acton MA
Job Description
Job Summary
- We are seeking a Service/Test Technician for a testing systems/equipment manufacturing company in Acton MA. This role is responsible for setting up conducting and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment with a focus on refrigeration HVAC and electrical systems and ensuring equipment quality and performance. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.
Responsibilities:
- Starting up troubleshooting and performing tests on our standard product line including the calibration and operation of refrigeration HVAC and electrical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality
- Perform basic final assembly work
- Ensure products meet quality and performance standards
- Implement and improve procedures
- Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes
- Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard
- Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products
- Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects
- Working closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience with HVAC/R systems refrigeration and electrical systems
- Competent with computers including Google suites preferred
- Previous experience in a test or service technician role preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred
- Knowledge of test standards (ASTM IEC ISO MILSTD) preferred
- The schedule is MonFri 7AM3:30PM. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The pay is dependent on experience.
