Job Description

Egress Systems Maintenance Technician

Salary: Competitive

Location: Tabuk Saudi Arabia

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Governments nominated Prime Contractor under the GovernmenttoGovernment arrangements that are in place to provide equipment support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft equipment and weapons.

The Egress Technician is responsible for inspecting maintaining and repairing egress systems and components on the Hawk aircraft and support equipment. Using all resources available they will maintain aircraft to support the demands of the flying operation thus ensuring delivery of serviceable aircraft to accomplish the contractual operational and flying commitments. They will be responsible for carrying out maintenance diagnosing faults and administrative support to the AMO as directed by the Egress Supervisor; including but not limited to complying with all relevant company policies. Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Organisation is compliant with the requirements of the M&CA Mandates and Pt145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition with regards to maintaining aircraft its components and resource SQEP levels.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To carry out egress maintenance repairs and modifications for Hawk on and off aircraft.
  • Perform major and minor egress maintenance repairs modifications and TCTOs for Hawk on and off aircraft.
  • Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out or signs for as having been carried out on an aircraft or aircraft component in accordance with the approved data.
  • Works within the requirements of the Quality Management System Safety Management System and RSAF Technical Orders.
  • Completes Maintenance paperwork forms appropriate aircraft forms records and maintenance documentation both hard and electronic copies.
  • Highlights to their immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements for himself and others.
  • Provides onthejob and theory training for trainees.
  • Deputises if required for the Egress supervisor.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

  • A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline or a technical apprenticeship or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA

OR

  • Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed) or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
Recruitment
  • Relevant type training (Q Course) and equipment specific training if required.
  • Have at least extensive proven post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive experience on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
  • Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Understanding and application of human factors error management health & safety and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role.
  • Relevant equipment specific training.

Desirable:

  • Broad Aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
  • An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
