We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our new inhouse team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating developing and implementing therapeutic programs to help clients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities. This role involves working closely with clients families and other healthcare professionals to create and execute individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of clients physical emotional and cognitive abilities.
- Identify and assess clients needs goals and priorities through observations interviews and standardized assessments.
- Therapeutic Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy plans to address clients specific needs and goals.
- Utilize evidencebased interventions and therapeutic techniques to improve clients functional abilities and overall quality of life.
Client Care and Support:
- Provide direct therapy services to clients including exercises activities and adaptive techniques.
- Educate and train clients and their families on strategies and techniques to support independence and enhance daily functioning.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians nurses psychologists and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of client progress therapy plans and treatment outcomes.
Program Development:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of departmental programs and services.
- Participate in departmental meetings training and professional development activities.
Compliance and Standards:
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory and ethical standards in occupational therapy practice.
- Ensure that therapy practices are in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist in acute care facility preferred.
- Completion of degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- BLS (AHA) current certification
