Job Description

  • Leadership and Supervision:
  • Provide strong leadership to the OR nursing staff fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff including performance evaluations training and professional development.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Coordinate and manage daily operations of the Operating Room ensuring optimal utilization of resources staff and equipment.
  • Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Quality and Patient Safety
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in perioperative nursing.
  • Promote a culture of safety actively participating in the identification and resolution of safety concerns.
  • Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and manage the OR budget ensuring costeffective operations and resource allocation.
  • Staff Development:
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the OR nursing team.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the OR staff.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Serve as a liaison between the OR other departments and hospital administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to enhance coordination of patient care and address operational issues.


Requirements

  • Current RN license in Georgia.
  • Associates Degree required Bachelors or Masters Preferred
  • Minimum of 35 years of perioperative nursing experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • CNOR certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in perioperative nursing.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse team in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
