- Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide strong leadership to the OR nursing staff fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff including performance evaluations training and professional development.
- Operational Oversight:
- Coordinate and manage daily operations of the Operating Room ensuring optimal utilization of resources staff and equipment.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Quality and Patient Safety
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in perioperative nursing.
- Promote a culture of safety actively participating in the identification and resolution of safety concerns.
- Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and manage the OR budget ensuring costeffective operations and resource allocation.
- Staff Development:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the OR nursing team.
- Facilitate ongoing education and training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the OR staff.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the OR other departments and hospital administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to enhance coordination of patient care and address operational issues.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Georgia.
- Associates Degree required Bachelors or Masters Preferred
- Minimum of 35 years of perioperative nursing experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- CNOR certification is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in perioperative nursing.
- Ability to effectively manage a diverse team in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
