We are hiring an Enhanced Staff Nurse Intensive Care Unit for a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland. We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are central to all we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert practical care to patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and take part in the supervision of the preparation and assessment of individualized patient care guaranteeing a patientcentered approach.
- Recognise the complex requirements of patients in intensive care units and offer comprehensive support to both the patients and their families.
- Ensuring that records about prohibited substances are maintained in compliance with accepted legal and professional standards.
- Make sure that all medications are administered and stored according to safe practices prioritizing the safety of the personnel and patients by following local policy the Department of Healths standards and the NMBI.
- When required make sure that the patients possessions are stored safely in compliance with hospital regulations.
- Record all required medical attention provided using the Meditech Patient Information System.
- When asked to assume control of the Ward or Unit while the CNM is away comply.
- If asked be prepared to be assigned to different parts of the hospital.
- Any incidents accidents near misses or complaints should be thoroughly documented and reported to the CNM as soon as possible. You should also offer to assist with any followup investigations that the CNM requests.
- Attend team meetings staff meetings and committee meetings as needed.
- Encourage the development of a patientcentered culture that values transparency responsiveness to both positive and constructive patient input and upholding the patients right to autonomy respect and dignity in their care.
Requirements
- Possess a complete registration in the NMBImaintained Register of Nurses General Division.
- Possess a minimum of two years of recent pertinent postregistration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting working either fulltime or equivalent hours on a parttime basis.
- You should also have at least two years of experience working in an ICU or CCU.
- Have completed or are working towards completion of a current Basic Life Support course.
