Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse Oncology (Travel)
Location: Atlanta Georgia 30342
Duration: 13 weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift Timings: 8:30a5pm
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients including assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncologyrelated medications as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions; implement interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about cancer treatments symptom management and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with relevant experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing or a related specialty.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
