Job Description

Position Overview:

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations sales and administrative functions of a health insurance branch. The role involves managing a team driving business growth through customer acquisition retaining existing clients and ensuring that the branch meets its financial and operational goals. The Branch Manager will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Branch Operations & Administration:
  • Oversee daytoday branch operations ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as policy issuance claims processing and customer support.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines.
  1. Sales & Business Development:
  • Drive branch sales targets for health insurance products by leading the sales team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and increase the market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and local partners such as hospitals doctors and brokers.
  • Promote crossselling of insurance products to increase revenue.
  1. Team Management:
  • Lead mentor and manage a team of sales executives customer service staff and other branch personnel.
  • Monitor performance provide guidance and implement training programs to improve skills and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment promoting teamwork and accountability.
  1. Customer Service & Retention:
  • Ensure excellent customer service addressing customer queries complaints and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage customer retention by delivering on client expectations and offering solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Ensure smooth handling of policy renewals claims support and documentation processes.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Monitor branch financials including revenue expenses and profitability.
  • Prepare and present branch performance reports to the Regional/Area Manager including sales metrics revenue growth and market penetration.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure the branch operates within legal regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to minimize operational risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in health insurance regulations and ensure the team adheres to all compliance requirements.
  1. Market Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze local market trends customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the senior management team to support product development and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on branch performance sales achievements and operational issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Insurance Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 911 years of experience in health insurance or insurancerelated roles with at least 57 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Knowledge: Indepth understanding of health insurance products claims processes and insurance regulations in India.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Analytical skills for financial and market analysis.
  • Customerfocused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
