What you will be doing:
- Underwrite price and negotiate complex and emerging Cyber risks in a manner that is consistent with our risk appetite to ensure profitability retention and written premium goals are achieved.
- Negotiate prepare and draft policy and endorsement wording.
- Create and develop relationships with brokers and policyholders to establish new distribution relationships and sales channels.
- Attend and occasionally present at industry conferences as needed and as the opportunity presents itself.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve company goals and drive crosssell opportunities.
- Assist with strategic underwriting planning by developing and maintaining suitable management information to effectively evaluate the portfolio.
- Maintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting and regulatory guidelines standards and legal requirements.
- Engage in adhoc projects and tasks as assigned to contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of the company.
Experience you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years of Cyber insurance underwriting and/or broking experience.
- A bachelors degree or equivalent in business insurance cyber security or a related discipline.
- Robust relationships with key BDA US and UK wholesale and retail brokers.
- Experience with policy and endorsement wording negotiation preparation and drafting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Creative problemsolver with strong critical thinking skills an ethical approach to getting things done and an ability to apply different perspectives across the spectrum.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
- A confident communicator who can clearly and authentically convey a written and verbal message skillfully persuade and craft a constructive argument.
- Advanced skills across all Microsoft Office applications (familiarity with Mac OS is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort with leading client and broker meetings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and work ethic.
- Ability to work outside of core hours and travel overseas as required.
