RecruitNet is hiring for a Director of Nursing for our client a leading Nursing Home in Trim Co Meath.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Assure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and HIQA (Health Information and Quality Authority) standards.
- Work together with interdisciplinary teams to create and carry out residentspecific care plans.
- Oversee programs aimed at raising the standard of care ensuring resident safety and enhancing the general wellbeing of nursing home residents.
- Assure continuing education and training for nursing staff by offering chances for professional development mentoring and support
- Respond to resident and family issues promptly and compassionately to earn their trust and satisfaction with the care they receive.
- Make sure the nursing home maintains high standards of care while working within financial constraints.
- Stay uptodate with developments in nursing practice healthcare regulations and resident care to ensure the nursing home maintains an innovative and current approach.
- Participate in health and safety assessments and ensure that the facility meets all required health and safety standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years experience (within the last six years) in a senior nursing management role providing care for the elderly.
- Postgraduate degree in management
- As of right now registered with NMBI
- Demonstrated aptitude for leadership people skills and clinical
- Comprehensive understanding of HIQA guidelines rules and the HEALTH ACT 2007
- Outstanding organizational leadership and communication abilities
- A track record of success in making decisions
- A gerontology degree is preferred.
