Job Description
Cloud Security and Operations Engineer (Amazon Connect) Remote
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a Cloud Security and Operations Engineer to support the migration of over 60 contact centers to the Amazon Connect platform. This role will focus on enhancing the security and stability of AWS infrastructures while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to drive innovation in contact center technologies.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $90 to $104 based on experience.
4month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Work schedule: flexible hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
Enjoy the flexibility of remote work.
Occasional office visits located in Toronto or Waterloo.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Cloud Engineering IT business partners and application teams to create and manage IAM roles ensuring proper policies and AD groups are in place.
Configure AWS Secrets Manager and document all infrastructure changes.
Secure AWS cloud platforms specifically focusing on IAM VPC security and KMS.
Support and develop enhancements to the Amazon Connect platform including the integration of new AWS services.
Perform infrastructure security reviews and provide guidance on security improvements across the contact center environment.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
35 years of experience in securing cloud platforms particularly AWS.
At least 1 year of handson experience with Amazon Connect.
Proficiency with AWS technologies such as DynamoDB S3 CloudFormation and CloudWatch.
Experience working with remote teams and managing complex multiregion cloud infrastructures.
Knowledge of Python and Active Directory is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to different teams.
