Civil EIT and PE Water / Wastewater
Our client in SW Austin is growing quickly and looking to add both an EIT and a PE with experience in the design of municipal water / wastewater projects. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- For EIT Assist in generating project deliverables including plan design and production specifications and other assigned tasks for water / wastewater treatment systems
- Produce design plans specifications and reports in support of municipal water / wastewater infrastructure projects such as treatment plants pump stations storage facilities and transmission / distribution facilities
- For PE Assist in generation and maintenance of project schedule / budget; provide updates as needed
- For PE Work with and assist Project Manager with various construction administration tasks such as submittals contracts bidding etc.
- For PE Provide oversight / supervision of both internal staff (EIT s drafters) and external parties (subcontractors inspectors etc.) to move project toward efficient completion
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum BS in Civil Engineering with MS degree preferred; PE certification or EIT required for the respective roles
- Minimum 1 year of experience in municipal water / wastewater design for EIT role 5 years for the PE role; experience in drainage design is a big plus
- Experienced in design and generation of construction plans submittals pay applications contracts etc.; previous work in project management / construction administration is also strongly preferred for PE
- Relevant software experience in programs such as Civil 3D AutoCAD HECRAS HECHMS WaterCAD ArcGIS or other hydraulic modeling programs
- Must be highly organized detailoriented a good communicator and can multitask and change priorities quickly
Must have: Hands-on experience with repairing, maintaining, and replacing complex mechanical and electrical equipment components. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment Proficiency with electronic testing tools for diagnostics and repairs. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, explain technical issues, and provide training on equipment usage and maintenance. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Nice to have: Familiarity with Linux for operating and troubleshooting system equipment. Additional technical experience in specialized fields like optics, lasers, or robotics can provide extra value. Expertise in precision mechanical work, especially if related to fine adjustments or calibrations in equipment. Previous experience in providing technical support to customers or managing customer-facing roles. Prior experience working in cleanrooms with full protective gear (facemask, gloves, safety glasses).
