Job Description

We seek a skilled WordPress developer to design implement and maintain custom WordPress websites that meet our clients business needs. The ideal candidate should understand the WordPress platform including themes plugins and site functionality. You will collaborate with our design marketing and content teams to create seamless responsive highperforming websites.

Job Title: WordPress Developer
Location: East Brunswick NJ
Job Type: Parttime/Contract

Required Exp; 2 to 5 years

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

Develop manage and maintain WordPress websites from concept to completion.

Create custom themes and plugins as per project requirements.

Modify existing themes and plugins for optimal functionality and performance.

Ensure website functionality and performance across devices (responsive design).

Optimize websites for speed performance and SEO best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues including bug fixing and code errors.

Collaborate with designers content creators and marketing teams to ensure cohesive branding and user experience.

Implement website security measures and ensure backups are in place.

Monitor and update websites for performance improvements new features and compatibility.

Stay uptodate with WordPress core updates and industry trends.

Required Skills:

2 years experience in WordPress

Strong proficiency in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript jQuery and PHP.

Experience with custom theme and plugin development.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Knowledge of MySQL and database management.

Strong understanding of **SEO** site performance and security optimization.

Experience with crossbrowser and crossdevice testing.

Familiarity with APIs including RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Web Development or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Excellent communication skills for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

A strong portfolio of previous WordPress projects is a plus.
