Overview
As a Primary Care Physician you will play a critical role in providing primary medical care to patients promoting health and wellness and diagnosing and treating a wide range of common illnesses and medical conditions. Your work is essential in ensuring the overall wellbeing and health of your patients and the community. You will be responsible for building and maintaining patient relationships addressing primary care needs and coordinating with specialists when necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting physical examinations and patient assessments
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medications and treatments
- Providing immunizations and vaccinations
- Counseling and educating patients on preventive healthcare practices
- Managing and coordinating patient care with specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Documenting patient medical histories and treatment plans
- Monitoring and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes hypertension and asthma
- Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate and updated patient records

Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration
- Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Empathy and compassion towards patients
- Ability to work effectively in a teambased healthcare environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
