Job Description
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Performing consultations and examinations on patients with gastrointestinal symptoms
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as endoscopy colonoscopy and imaging studies
- Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with digestive disorders
- Performing endoscopic procedures and interventions as needed
- Providing comprehensive care and followup for patients with chronic gastrointestinal conditions
- Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure integrated patient care
- Participating in medical advisory and quality improvement initiatives
- Keeping abreast of latest developments in gastroenterology and incorporating evidencebased practices into clinical care
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies
- Participating in teaching and training programs for medical staff and students
- Maintaining accurate and updated medical records
- Adhering to professional standards and best practices in gastroenterology
- Providing guidance and support to nursing and support staff in delivering optimal patient care
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards
- Participating in oncall schedules to address urgent clinical needs
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution
- DM or DNB in Gastroenterology from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in Gujarat
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in clinical gastroenterology
- Proven track record of successful diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
- Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and interventions
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse caseload effectively
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and ethical principles in healthcare
- Empathy compassion and dedication to patientcentered care
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in oncall schedules as needed
