Job Description
Overview:
The Java UI Developer plays a crucial role in the organization by combining their expertise in frontend development with their proficiency in Java to create visually appealing and seamlessly functional user interfaces. They are essential in ensuring a positive user experience and highperformance web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement user interfaces for web applications using Java
- Create and maintain UI features with a focus on usability performance and reusability
- Develop responsive web pages using HTML CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems and make practical actionable and effective suggestions for design improvements
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve UI development approaches
- Work in an Agile environment participating in sprint planning reviews and retrospectives
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation to testing and deployment
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to UI standards
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features
- Document the development process architecture and standard components
- Support and maintain existing applications by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting
- Assist in UI/UX design and prototyping
- Participate in continuous learning and skill development to enhance technical capabilities
- Collaborate with customer support and business stakeholders to understand and address user needs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as a Java UI Developer or similar role
- Proficiency in Java programming language and ObjectOriented Design
- Strong experience in frontend development using HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Expertise in UI design principles and best practices
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
- Understanding of crossbrowser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Knowledge of RESTful web services and API integration
- Capability to optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development practices
- Excellent problemsolving skills and a keen eye for detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with UI/UX design tools and concepts is a plus
- Certifications related to Java or frontend development are advantageous
