Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients to understand their hair care needs and desires
- Performing hair cutting styling and coloring services
- Staying updated on the latest industry trends and techniques
- Providing excellent customer service and building longlasting client relationships
- Advising clients on proper hair care and maintenance
- Keeping workstations clean and organized
- Operating and maintaining salon equipment
- Collaborating with team members to create a positive work environment
- Managing appointment schedules and client bookings
- Participating in regular training and skill development programs
- Promoting and selling salon products and services
- Complying with health and safety regulations
- Resolving client complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Assisting junior staff and providing mentorship
- Contributing to the overall success and growth of the salon
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a hairstylist or senior hairstylist
- Valid state cosmetology license
- Demonstrated expertise in hair cutting coloring and styling
- Excellent knowledge of hair care products and treatments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Uptodate with industry trends and best practices
- Flexibility to work on weekends evenings and holidays
- Basic understanding of business and sales principles
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
- Exceptional customer service and problemsolving abilities
- Team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Willingness to participate in continuous education and training
- Portfolio or examples of previous work may be required
