Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Purchase Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process managing supplier relationships and ensuring that our purchasing strategies align with our company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree Mechanical / Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
Key Responsibility:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Monitor market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible and accountable for the Purchasing Function. Responsible for vendor identification and development so as to negotiate and buy materials and services to meet the Companys operational requirements.
- This includes supplier selection tendering and cost estimation develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base.
- Lead and manage a team of Buyers. Work alongside the senior management team in contributing to overall business objectives.
- Procedures to improve service and or reduce costs
- Other task and responsibilities as per management discretion
