Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
- Design construct install test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for ingesting data from multiple sources.
- Implement and maintain data pipelines and workflows.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large complex data sets that meet functional and nonfunctional business requirements.
- Identify design and implement internal process improvements.
- Optimize data delivery and restructure data systems for greater scalability security and reliability.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in the companys data systems.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and data security standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of database management systems SQL and data warehousing techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or Scala.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop Spark Kafka etc).
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience with agile development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative and iterative programming environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy standards.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
