Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our existing Projects team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division based in Cramlington Northumberland. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising assigned projects to ensure timely delivery expected profit and customer satisfaction.
The Project Engineer will work in a team environment reporting on a daily basis to the Senior Project Manager and be responsible for the of contracts awarded to the Company.
Scope for flexible working arrangements including working from home on occasion is offered subject to agreement. A degree of domestic and international travel may be required to fulfil the obligations of the role therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is essential.
Previous experience gained in an Air Filtration business would be a major advantage for this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and determines priorities and monitors status of special projects on an ongoing basis.
- Acts as liaison between customers and other departments.
- Maintains scheduling and cost requirements.
- Prepares status reports to update and inform others of all project activities.
- Prepares project summary report upon completion of project.
- Creates invoices etc.
- Assists in resolving receivables issues.
Person Specification:
Education Qualifications and Affiliations
Essential
- HNC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline/experience)
- APMP Prince 2 or similar qualification in principles of Project Management.
Desirable
- BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline/experience)
*Completed qualifications from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience

- Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Previous experience in an engineering / manufacturing company within a similar role.
- Comfortable working on a number of high value projects simultaneously.
- Previous customer facing experience.
- Knowledge of Quality assurance systems (ISO 9001)
- Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages.
Desirable
- Previous experience gained within the industry i.e. O&G Energy and Power Generation.
- Experience of working with offshore installation project management.
- Understanding of gas turbine filtration solutions.
- Experience of working offshore.
- Experience of working with overseas clients.
Licenses or Certifications
Essential
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Full valid passport.

- Full driving license.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body such as IMechE.
