Job Description
Are you experienced in cable installations and network systems Affinity Services is looking for a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. If youre detailoriented enjoy working handson with wiring and network infrastructure and are passionate about delivering highquality service we want to hear from you!
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair data and communication cables including fiber optic and coaxial systems
- Test and troubleshoot cable systems to ensure optimal performance
- Run pull terminate and label cables in commercial or residential settings
- Install network hardware including routers switches and other communication devices
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during installation and repairs
- Provide clients with technical support and recommendations on cable management
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations repairs and site visits
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and teams to complete largescale projects
Requirements
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Telecommunications Electrical or a related technical field
- 1 years of experience as a Cable Technician or in a related role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical documents
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and cable types (CAT5/6 coaxial fiber optics)
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when needed
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites
- Strong communication skills and a customerfocused attitude
