The Interventional Radiologist Physician will perform a variety of specialized procedures including angiography biopsy embolization and dialysis access providing direct patient care at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. The role requires board certification oncall availability and adherence to VA standards for timely patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Interventional Radiology procedures such as angiography biopsy embolization dialysis access cryoablation and more.
- Provide timely care to patients onsite adhering to VA rules on clinic wait times and consultations.
- Offer consultations to referring physicians and provide postprocedure followup.
- Maintain proficiency in interventional radiology and adhere to facility standards including medication safety and infection control.
- Participate in peer reviews quality improvement activities and committee meetings.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
- Must have an active unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Proficiency in English required.
