Job Description

We are Hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing( ADON) to lead a Nursing care home in Drogeda Louth Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Support the teams management organization and coordination. This entails making certain that employees are providing highquality treatment according to procedures and fulfilling legal requirements.
- Formulating Guidelines and Protocols. The chosen candidate will assist in developing putting into practice and updating policies and processes to guarantee both high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
- The ADON will supervise the staffs professional development and training making sure they receive the most recent information on best practices.
- They will frequently offer assistance with staffing decisions assisting in making sure the facility has enough staff to meet the needs of the residents and setting up schedules to avoid shortages or burnout.
- The ADON will keep an eye on personcentred care to make sure it adheres to set guidelines. This include carrying out audits examining incident reports and attempting to address any
Requirements
- Have full registration with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Have a minimum of 3 years postregistration experience of nursing older people within the previous 6 years
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and clinical nursing practice together with future trends in elder care
- Hold a postregistration management qualification in health or a related field
- A management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
- ADON experience would be an added advantage
