Avionics Senior Engineer Wire Harness

About Our Client: Our client is an innovative and wellfunded startup specializing in the development of eVTOL (Electric Vertical TakeOff and Landing) aircraft. They are seeking a skilled Avionics Senior Engineer to lead the design and development of communication wire harnesses essential for the avionics systems of their cuttingedge aircraft.

The Role: The Avionics Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing wire harnesses for eVTOL avionics including the wiring between flight controllers ECUs sensors and other critical components. This role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams to address challenges such as EMC protection related to wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define specifications for communication harnesses and select appropriate harnesses and connectors.
  • Design harness routing and create/manage wiring diagrams.
  • Negotiate with procurement and suppliers to ensure quality and costeffectiveness.
  • Conduct testing to ensure the safety and reliability of wiring systems including electrical load testing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in manufacturing aeronautics or related fields.
  • Open to candidates of all academic backgrounds ages and nationalities.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in harness design particularly related to the described role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
  • Over 4 years of engineering experience in manufacturing (any field).
  • Experience in vehicle or drone development (e.g. aircraft automotive motorcycle railway vehicle robotics).
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering principles in design development manufacturing and testing.
  • Businesslevel English proficiency.
  • Basic understanding of eVTOL technology.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and obtaining safety certifications.
  • Practical experience in technical affairs including safety standards and mass production.
