Project Manager AV Leading Audio/AV Company
Our client a leader in the Audio/AV industry is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver multiple audiovisual (AV) and video conferencing projects. In this role you will ensure that all projects align with the companys goals and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all projectrelated communications.
- Manage all project phases including design engineering installation programming and testing.
- Lead project kickoff meetings with client representatives.
- Create and maintain project schedules and budgets for AV installations.
- Coordinate with clients contractors and other trades as required.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to all stakeholders.
- Handle procurement of materials following document approval.
- Oversee and monitor labor efforts throughout the project including engineering and installation.
- Request and manage quotes from subcontractors as necessary.
- Proactively manage any changes to the project scope.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of installation work performed by staff or subcontractors.
- Test and certify the performance of installed systems.
- Provide training to clients and manage the project handover to the service department.
Requirements:
- Experience in project management or technical engineering within the AV/IT industry.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Preferred Skills:
- 35 years of experience in the AV industry.
- Knowledge of Crestron systems DSPs (Biamp ClearOne etc.) and networking.
- Understanding of AutoCAD general contractor procedures and AV cable terminations.
- Experience with testing and commissioning video conferencing systems.
- Certifications like CTS CTSI or PMP are a plus.
