We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher to join our Digital Experience team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding user behavior and leveraging insights to create impactful design solutions. As a UX Researcher you will work closely with product managers designers and engineers to identify research needs conduct studies and provide actionable recommendations that enhance the user experience across United Airlines digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define research objectives and determine the appropriate research methodologies (e.g. interviews surveys usability testing ethnographic studies).
- Conduct Research: Execute qualitative and quantitative research studies to gather user insights including usability testing contextual inquiries and user interviews.
- Data Analysis: Analyze research data and translate findings into actionable insights that drive design and product decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure research findings are incorporated into product strategies and design solutions.
- Present Findings: Create compelling presentations and reports to effectively communicate research insights to stakeholders at all levels.
- Advocate for the User: Act as the voice of the customer ensuring user needs are at the forefront of the design and development process.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices in UX research and apply these insights to improve research processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in HumanComputer Interaction (HCI) Psychology Sociology Anthropology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 3 but max 5 years of experience in UX research preferably within the airline travel or ecommerce industry.
- Proven track record of conducting user research that has influenced product and design decisions.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting Optimal Workshop and others.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with designing and conducting remote usability studies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch Figma or Adobe XD.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
