Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Due Diligence Analyst to join our venture capital team on a fulltime basis. The Due Diligence Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities conducting thorough due diligence and providing comprehensive analysis to support investment decisions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with entrepreneurs industry experts and investment professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deal Evaluation and Due Diligence:

    • Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investment opportunities including financial analysis market research competitive landscape assessment and risk evaluation.
    • Analyze company financial statements projections and business plans to assess financial health growth prospects and investment potential.
    • Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports and investment memos summarizing findings and recommendations for the investment committee.
  • Financial Modeling and Valuation:

    • Develop financial models and valuation analyses to evaluate investment opportunities and assess potential returns.
    • Perform sensitivity analysis scenario modeling and other financial analyses to support investment decisionmaking.
    • Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial projections and assumptions used in investment analyses.
  • Market Research and Industry Analysis:

    • Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify trends opportunities and competitive dynamics relevant to potential investments.
    • Monitor industry developments technological advancements and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform investment strategy and portfolio management.
  • Investment Committee Support:

    • Support the investment committee process by preparing materials presentations and analysis for investment reviews and decisionmaking meetings.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and investment partners articulating key risks and opportunities associated with potential investments.
    • Participate in discussions and debates on investment proposals contributing to informed decisionmaking and risk assessment.
  • Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Assist in monitoring and tracking portfolio company performance including financial metrics operational KPIs and market position.
    • Prepare regular reports and updates on portfolio performance investment activities and industry trends for internal stakeholders and investors.
    • Collaborate with portfolio management team members to identify strategic initiatives and value creation opportunities for portfolio companies.

Compensation:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Economics or related field; advanced degree (e.g. MBA) preferred.
  • 35 years of experience in venture capital investment banking private equity or a related field with a focus on due diligence and financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling valuation techniques and investment analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and collaborative environment managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
