Job Title: Principal Backend Engineer (PartTime EquityBased)
About Automigrate
At Automigrate we are developing the future of cloudbased data engineering. To support our mission were seeking a highlyskilled Principal Backend Engineer with experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. This role starts as parttime with equitybased compensation and the potential to convert to fulltime once funding is secured.
Role Overview
The Principal Backend Engineer will take ownership of backend system design architecture and development. We are seeking candidates who have worked at a major tech company or wellknown organization and are passionate about building scalable distributed systems using cuttingedge technologies.
Ideal Candidates:
We are open to doctoratelevel students or professors specializing in distributed systems as well as experienced engineers from leading tech firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop highly scalable backend systems using Python or Scala.
- Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems that power our platform.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to integrate APIs and services.
- Mentor junior engineers and set best practices for code quality and security.
Qualifications:
- Experience in building and scaling distributed systems preferably in a major tech firm or academia.
- Strong knowledge of Python Scala and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or similar.
Compensation: Equitybased role with potential for fulltime and salary conversion postfunding.
