Our Proposal
Join our clients teamas a SysAdmin.Our client is on the lookout for a detailoriented QA Engineer with systemlevel and network experienceto elevate their IT Operations software suite. Youll dive into an exciting array of new product features work closely with a dynamic team of software developers and design and implement comprehensive test cases.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the future of MSPs and IT teams by understanding user needs evaluating product usability and offering invaluable feedback.
- Log into devices using Telnet or SSH access configuration files and verify the accuracy of data reported.
- Compare the data in the UI with the actual data on the device ensuring consistency.
- Testing will include reviewing log files and Syslog data to check for errors or misreported information.
- Analyze network traffic and packet data to ensure that the product properly captures and processes all necessary information.
- Take the reins on comprehensive software testing to ensure seamless feature releases. Craft and maintain precise test plans while ensuring consistent quality across all platforms.
- Generate detailed reports on software quality and functionality after rigorous testing. Document defects and issues for swift resolution by development teams.
Requirements
- 5 Years in testing
- 5 Years in IT Support/SysAdmin
- 2 Years of Scripting: cmd/PowerShell Bash Batch or Python
- OS Experience at least two: Windows Mac or Linux
- Proficient in network management and TCP/IP Protocols: SNMP TCP UDP ICMP DNS
- Database Skills: PostgreSQL SQL MySQL
- Virtualization: Familiar with Type 2 hypervisors (VMware VirtualBox etc.)
- Excellent English Communication
- API Testing: Proficient in Postman or similar
- Remote Tools: TeamViewer AnyDesk Splashtop
- OSI Layer Fundamentals
