Job Description
Position Name: Travel Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery
Location: Sioux City IA 51104
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Fulltime Travel Contract Temporary
Contract Length:13 weeksAccepting both local and travel Candidates
Pay Rate: Local$2340 to Travel$2592 weekly
Unit: Labor & Delivery
Shift: 12 Hours; Nights 7p7.30a
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed 3 shifts per week every other weekend must be able to pick 2extra shifts/month
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 4 years Required
- Labor & Delivery Nursing experience in a hospital setting: Recent/Current 4 years Required
- Circulating experience Required
- Scrub experience Preferred
- Multiple travel contracts completed Preferred
- EPIC STORK experience Required
- ALL certs must be active
- High Risk experience Required
- Triage and Assessment skills Highly preferred
- Experience with larger high volume delivery centers 200300 deliveries/month Required
Education License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent Required
- BSN or an equivalent Highly preferred
- RN License for State of IA or Compact Required
- BLS ACLS Certifications from AHA Required
- AWHONN Certification Required
- NRP Certification Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in the Labor & Delivery department
- As a member of the interdisciplinary team contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
- Deliveries per month: 160180
- High Risk Deliveries Sioux City is in a location where they have a very high risk patient population. Large population of nonEnglish speaking patients.
- Nurse must excellent clinical skills and able to perform triage and assessments prior to the physician seeing them.
