Job Description
Job Title: HPC Engineer
Location: Remote
Max Rate: $60/hr
Job Type: Contract (C2C)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced HPC Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have handson expertise in setting up and managing highperformance computing (HPC) environments including installation configuration and management of GPU software stacks like PyTorch TensorFlow and CUDA. This role requires proficiency in Redhat Rocky Linux and bash scripting with knowledge of PBS job schedulers and system configurations. Experience with Docker Kubernetes storage solutions networking and DevOps practices is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage HPC compute clusters.
- Install and configure Nvidia drivers and GPU software stacks (PyTorch TensorFlow CUDA Python).
- Setup and manage PBS job schedulers along with supporting PBS servers.
- Work with Redhat and Rocky Linux environments writing and maintaining bash scripts.
- Monitor and optimize HPC cluster performance.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with storage systems networking and DevOps tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Proven handson experience in HPC compute cluster setup and management.
- Expertise with GPU software stacks (PyTorch TensorFlow CUDA).
- Proficiency in Redhat and Rocky Linux environments.
- Strong skills in bash scripting and PBS job scheduling.
- Additional experience with Docker Kubernetes storage solutions and networking is a plus.
