Millwright

Leading manufacturer is seeking a trade tested Millwright with 5 years post trade experience in Pietermaritzburg.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Normal and preventative maintenance of Hydraulic systems (presses formers pultrusion and injection moulding).
2. Normal and preventative maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels control panels heating and cooling systems and electrical circuitry)
3. Normal and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment (gearboxes pumps chain drives couplings and alignment)
4. Fault finding and breakdown/emergency repairs (electrical and mechanical)
5. Basic welding and Boiler making
6. Technical assistance to production and maintenance teams
7. Be part of continuous improvement
8. Implement planned maintenance and counter measures
9. Assistance with machine changeover and startups when require

REQUIREMENTS

1. Trade tested certificate as a qualified Millwright
2. Experience Required
3. Minimum 5 years applicable experience as a qualified Millwright
4. PLC and VSD experience will be advantageous
5. Induction furnace experience will be advantageous
6. Key Skills and Knowledge Required
7. Electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills
8. Indepth knowledge of PLC and PLC programming on Delta and Mitsubishi systems Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment electrical panels and PLCs
9. Fault finding determination skills is essential
10. Problemsolving ability
11. Ability to read drawings
12. Communication and decisionmaking skills
13. Ability to work in a team or independently
14. Ability to work under pressure
15. Prepared to work overtime and standby whenever required
16. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
17. Basic welding and boiler making

RUMUNERATION

Basic: R150 to R192 per hour

Leave enhancement pay (13th cheque)
