Job Description
Our client is the leading supplier of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) solutions in southern Africa and they are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Isando Johannesburg.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum NQF Level 3).
- Threephase Wiremans license.
- Experience with control systems PLCs VFDs etc.
- More than 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Valid drivers license.
- Willing to travel within South Africa and Africa.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install maintain & repair electrical and automation systems for greenhouse projects.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve technical issues and ensure. optimal system performance.
- Commission calibrate and test new systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all work performed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
SKILLS:
- Team player with the ability to ensure support and collaboration both internally and externally.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problemsolving skills.
- Meticulous and methodical with good record keeping abilities.
- Able to multitask in a highvolume fastpaced work environment.
- A high level of selfmotivation and ability to set and meet goals will be necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure troubleshoot and to meet short and longterm deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
