Position Overview:
The Director of Sales Strategy is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve company objectives. This role involves analyzing market trends identifying new business opportunities and optimizing sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. The Director of Sales Strategy will work closely with senior leadership sales teams and other departments to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with company objectives and drive revenue growth. Monitor and adjust strategies based on market trends and performance data.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and potential threats. Use insights to guide strategic decisionmaking.
- Sales Forecasting: Create accurate sales forecasts and set performance targets. Monitor progress towards goals and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices to enhance sales processes and improve team productivity. Streamline workflows and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor sales strategy team members. Foster a collaborative environment and provide guidance to ensure effective of sales plans.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing product and finance teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Coordinate efforts to drive integrated sales and marketing strategies.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track sales performance. Analyze data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensure customer needs are met and address any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 710 years of experience in sales strategy or related roles with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing highperforming teams.
- Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge: Indepth understanding of sales processes market dynamics and industry trends. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
